What exactly are lots? I thought they were used for gambling?
Every culture and religion has had a way to contact Deity . These means are known as oracles. Some better known oracles are the I Ching, Runes, the Oracle at Delphi and casting lots. The Bible has eleven references to casting lots without telling us what they actualy were. Scholars believe they were stones, pieces of wood, or jewels. Lots were cast after praying first to God and the lots chosen gave God's answer.
At the crucifixion of Jesus, the soldiers cast lots for His robe. This was a form of gambling and a misuse of a sacred tool.
Casting LOTS- an Oracle of the Holy Spirit is an adaptation of the Biblical method for determining God's will. Jesus came to show us the way and sent the Holy Spirit to be our guide. Many people pray but do not know how to listen for the answers. With this new oracle, people pray to Holy Spirit and ask for the answer in the LOTS (stories from the life of Jesus) and SIGNS (the miracles performed by Jesus). And Holy Spirit speaks through these stories about your questions providing the spiritual lessons you need at the time.
How can you cast LOTS for me via email, not knowing me or anything about me?
I don't have to know you or anything about you. We are all connected. God is One.
I simply remember this and connect with Holy Spirit who is also connected with you and ask your question for you. Jesus said:
"When two or more are gathered in My Name, I am there." (Matt. 18:20) .
He told us that: "Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will talk of what is mine and declare it to you." (John 16:12-14)
Jesus also said: "He who believes in Me, the works that I shall do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." (John 14:12)
How do you know which LOTS to pull? Isn't it all a matter of chance?
There are many ways to choose the LOTS for your readings. First, determine which cast (layout) and how many LOTS you will be using. Pray and ask your question. Then choose the LOTS by spreading the cards and selecting the number you need. Some people wave their hand over the cards and feel an energy from the card that is right. I don't feel energy from them and I have trouble with decisions, so I shuffle the deck till I feel done. Then I cut it twice with my left hand (which is connected to the right brain) and take the cards from the top, placing them in the positions of the cast I have chosen.
Sometimes during the shuffling, cards will jump or fall out of the deck. I always take that to be Holy Spirit saying this is the LOT that we need.
As for the question of chance:
"The lot is cast into the lap but its every decision is from the Lord." (Proverbs 16:33)
Think of a computer. You enter words in a search engine and the computer gives you back every file containing those words. When you ask your question Holy Spirit guides you to the LOTS that have the answers to your question. Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a grain of mustard we can move mountains. How much easier to move cards!
Jesus also said: "Ask the Father anything in My name and it shall be given you." (John15:16)
So, when castig LOTS, we ask God/Holy Spirit to speak through these cards and He does.
How do we know it is from Holy Spirit? Jesus said; "By their fruits you shall know them." (Matt.7:15)
Truth registers in our bodies. We feel the truth. When you cast LOTS some of the stories will have conflicting messages so you have to be still and listen. You will know when you have the right answer because you will feel it.
